Alissa - 1 Month & early Easter Pics

So I cannot believe how fast time is going. Alissa is already a month old. We don't have a Dr. appointment until she is 2 months so I had to estimate her stats myself.

I weighed her in at around 7.5lbs which puts her in the less than 5% category. But she was 3 weeks early so it will probably be a few months before she catches up to normal weight %'s.

Her height I think is around 21.5 inches which puts her between 25-50% according to the website I looked it up on.

She has been a really good baby so far. Not sure if I want to tell you this or not for fear of jinxing myself, but she has been sleeping 5 hour stretches at night already. This is very good for the mommy!!!

She eats really well, much better than her brother. But I've been having issues nursing. I finally took her to the chiropractor and she found she had TMJ*really tight muscles around her jaw* that the dr thought was probably causing her pain when she nursed . anyway she adjusted Alissa and 2 days later, nursing is going REALLY well.

Nicholas is showing signs of jealousy when we hold Alissa, well just Keith really. He also wants to help do everything, including holding her bottle when she eats. We let him w/ our help ofcourse and he is always so proud of himself.

Here are some pics I took for 1 month. I think her eyes are going to be blue.

Happy early easter! My family is going to Colorado next weekend so they wanted to do Easter egg hunt early. He really has it this year. Too cute!!

OMG there is something in there!!!

Yep, they did it, they put candies in there. He was bouncing off the walls....

Newborn photos

So I feel like my amateur photography skills are finally coming out. I have to say I'm proud of myself and these following photos. I'm getting better. Proper lighting helps alot too, and a super cute subject. So what do you think?

So this one is my favorite. I just love those eyes.

I really like this one too, I'm mad though b/c I can't seem to be able to print out an 8x10, the auto cropping takes a good chunk out and cuts off part of her head. I'm so mad.

Love this blanket my grandma made for Alissa.

This one was going to be my favorite, but I didn't get a chance to take more pics, she peed on the fabric that isn't washable. I just knew that was going to happen.
CUTE toes!!!!

This one is eh. Best in b&w. Could have been better if I had someone else there to help me.

My very own baby doll

My mom and I were giggling at this picture. Alissa is SO tiny, she is pretty much the same size as the smallest cabbage patch kid I have. Alissa is a bit longer, but the head size is the same.

Everything is going well. Alissa is eating alot and sleeping more. I don't remember Nicholas sleeping this much, but maybe I just forgot. She is pretty much only awake for eating and maybe for 10 min afterwards. I've also noticed she is a really quiet baby. She doesn't cry a whole lot. We took her to get her second PKU test at the hospital on Friday and they pricked her heel and she hardly even cried. She was such a trooper. Nicholas is still loving his "my baby sister Alissa" its really cute. But yesterday he had his first jealous moment w/ my mom. She was holding Alissa on the floor and Nicholas came over and told her that was his spot and he needed it. When my mom told him that Alissa was having a turn get got upset. He was clearly jealous. I'm sure it will get worse before it gets better, once Alissa starts being awake more and takes more of our time. Right now she sleeps so much that there is hardly any difference in the amount of time we spend playing w/ Nick. Its all adjustments I guess. But so far so good.
