Alissa 2 months

We took Alissa in for her 2 month appointment today. She is growing so fast. I can't believe she is 2 months old already.

So she weighs 10lbs which is the 25%
her length is 23 inches that is the 75%
and her head is 37cm which is the 10% ha!

I figured her length would catch up since all her stats were under the 25% at her 2 week appt.

But some fun facts for the week, she slept a full 8 hours for the first time Saturday night, yea for sleep! But thats just one step closer to sleep again. Although I've gotten use to working on 5-6 hours of sleep. Funny how you just adjust. Ofcourse I haven't been sleeping well for the last 6 months anyway.

She had her first smile around 6 weeks, but they were so quick and not very often that it took a while to get to this point, first smile I could catch on camera, which also includes her first laugh. Sunday after she slept 8 hours she was SO happy. She was just talking and cooing and smiling and laughing. It just melts your heart.
So here is her first smile I can actually show people, sweet girl:

She is the cutest, I love the eyes. they are blue, but in the sunlight they have a purple tint to them. They are so cool. I find myself just memorized by them. Watch out boys!

Sweet baby. Minus the gas. She has a real issue w/ gas in the evenings. Poor baby works herself into a fit that she starts crying so hard that no noise comes out. And then she starts sweating and as a result of that, she has a heat rash. Its getting pretty bad. But the doc says its ok, just keep an eye on it and it should go away in the next couple of months. It worries me though b/c the bumps turn really red after a fit and stay red for a good couple of hours afterwards. I just feel so bad, i wish i could help her so she doesn't have to get so upset.

And then there is my no longer little boy, he is a big boy. He is officially in underware. We use the pull ups only for sleeping. He's been stagnant on the potty training and school wanted to go underware full time. I had thought about doing this for a month or so now, but had not wanted to deal with the mess. BUT i really would like to not have to buy diapers for 2 kids. So we decided to suck it up. The first day at school he was dry all day, except for a #2 accident. And day 2 was the same but no #2 accident. He did go #1 in his pants several times at home, but we just figured its b/c he is not in the habit of going. But by the time day 3 came around he was going #2 in the potty and staying dry for pretty much all day. I don't know what snapped for him, but we are so proud. We made a HUGE deal w/ #2 in the potty. You should have seen the smile on his face, he was beaming. And since then, which was 2 weeks ago, we haven't had a #2 accident. I can't believe it! Should have moved to undies weeks ago. oh well. so only 1.5 sets of diapers are needed. WOO!!!!

He is getting to be such a big helper too. I am so amazed at how much he has learned and grown. He still is under 30 lbs...Ha! but his brain more than makes up for it. He knows all his ABC's and can count to 20 and has a song list quite long. His favorites are ABC's ofcourse, 4 silly monkey's, you are my sunshine and ba-ba black sheep. I love listening to him sing!

Funny story, the other day we were standing in the kitchen and I don't know what we were talking about, but we realized after he said it, that we must watch far too much TV. He told us, "Don't get mad, get glad"

So here is our BIG boy helping with the gardening. It was raining outside so we had to wear galoshes. That and he had gone potty on all his shoes and thats all we had left. We bought him some gardening gloves, that he claimed were his mittens. and he didn't want his kids shovel we got him, he had to use the one we were using. Little copy cat. He is so much fun!!!!

He was just sitting on the window looking out at Kai, just chilling. Too cute!

A bit of jealousy w/ Muffin (my mom) holding Alissa. But there is room for 2 on her lap. I think he has adjusted quite well to having a sister. We're so proud of him. :)

Next pictures will be from San Diego. He is a ring bearer in my brothers wedding May 8th. I can hardly wait to see him in a tux.

Happy Easter

Happy Easter! We had a great time this weekend. Nicholas was very much into the festivities which was so much fun. We decorated easter eggs. He was all about doing it himself. He is such a little independent boy.
We took his shirt off just in case of an accident. We just bought him some new summer time clothes and we need them to last a little while.

to add to the fun we colored w/ crayons on the eggs before coloring them. He didn't quite grasp the concept of putting the eggs down gently. Ha! Keith and i were just laughing b/c every time and egg went down, you heard "crack".... oh well. it was just for the activity anyway.

LOOK at this handsome little guy. I could not stop hugging him and giving him kisses he was just too adorable!!! Everyone at church thought so too. He made some little old lady's day too, she was sitting next to him and he made friends w/ her immediately and to my dismay unfortunately asked her to hold him. Yea, he is friends w/ everyone. I wonder if it is too soon to start teaching stranger danger? I mean its great that he is so friendly, but not everyone is nice.

Hunting Easter Eggs in the yard. He had SO much fun finding them. He would see one and gasp and run over to get it. He started getting upset though when they were all gone.

My favorite smile. LOVE the bunny ears.

So this was a little tough, def is more difficult to work with 2 kiddos to get a decent picture. But I love this one, so sweet. He is such a proud big brother.

Here is Alissa in her easter dress. My mom made it, turned out AWESOME! Thanks mom! I loved it. It had a bonnet too, but it was too big, it fit Nicholas, so she didn't wear it :( I was bummed.
Here is our first updated family photo. Yea! Our family is now complete! Aren't those Duder boys so handsome?
